Health & Wellness Activities

 

Health and wellness activities are an important part of the relaxation and rejuvenation process. We offer hot stone massage, reflexology, healing touch, T’ai Chi Chih, neurofeedback therapy, personal training, prayer, spiritual direction counseling and the Labyrinth.
 
Hot Stone Massage: 
Stones are warmed and placed on key areas of tension. The heat relaxes muscles, allowing the practitioner to work without using deep pressure.
 
Reflexology: 
A therapeutic and soothing massage on the feet. Tension is released while body systems are balanced.
 
T’ai Chi Chih: 
T’ai Chi Chih is not a religion, neither is it a martial art, but a moving meditation with far-reaching benefits: the circulation and balancing of energy (Vital Force) which keeps us alive. This series of 19 movements and one pose is easy to learn, gentle, and suitable for all ages. It requires no special physical ability, clothing or equipment, and very little practice space. T’ai Chi Chih reduces depression, stress, pain and supports wellness and overall health.
 
Neurofeedback: 
This alternative approach helps to regulate brain activity by reflecting the brain’s own EEG information back, resulting in more calming and integrated processing.
 
Counseling: 
Counseling can help provide healing for various types of life struggles. Moving through blockages in life can help free you to become the person that you want to be!
 
Personal Training/Life Coaching: 
Coaching will help you with setting goals in your personal life and professional life and with achieving them step by step. Training will help you with obtaining a new perspective on challenges and situations that can arise as you move forward.
 
Labyrinth: 
The Labyrinth is a spiritual tool that has many applications in various settings. It reduces stress, quiets the mind and opens the heart. It is a walking meditation, a path of prayer and a blueprint where the psyche meets the spirit.
 
Yoga: 
The art of balancing being and doing, strength and flexibility, especially as we move from crisis to response, from formlessness to form.
